• The American Red Cross and partner, Sport Clips Haircuts, are urging eligible donors to give blood. Those who come to give blood or platelets, Sept. 1-30 will receive a coupon for a free Sport Clips haircut via email, redcrossblood.org.

• Canceled: 11th Annual BBQ Battle rib and chicken wing competition, team registration is due by Sept. 24, limited to 36 teams. The entry fee is $50/team for ribs competition and $25/team for the chicken wings category.
