One question in most women's minds is whether to use reusable pads or disposable pads. Before choosing one, it is necessary to know about both sides. So, here is all you need to know about both the pads and then, you can decide for yourself.

Reusable pads are eco-friendly alternatives to the disposable pads. These cloth pads can be used several times. You just need to wash them after every use and you can use the same pad the next time. Put it on for 5-6 hours in one go and it will absorb all the blood. Then, change it and use another washed reusable pad.

You will surely have to put some money at the start but it is just one time. In the long run, you won’t have to buy pads again and again which will save you a lot of money.

An average woman gets her periods for 5 days and it is recommended that the pad should be changed every 5-6 hours. So, you can do the math on how many pads are used by a single woman. This is a lot of trash and money which isn’t good for the environment.

Disposable pads are actually made with chemicals which can create irritation and unbalance your PH. On the other hand, reusable pads don’t use any such chemicals or plastic, thus allowing our skin to breathe and keeping us safe from bacteria.

You can customize a reusable pad according to your personal choice. You can choose the three main factors, the size, the style and the fabric which will make it comfortable for you.

We just fling our disposable pads into the dustbins but we can’t do the same with our cloth pads. We have to wash them instantly in order to save the stain from setting in. It is an extra chore for you to do.

While you’ll easily find disposable pads, you don’t usually find disposable pads in your local supermarket. So, if you need a pad in an emergency, then disposable ones are your best choice.

Disposable pads also do the main work of soaking the blood but they are one-time use. You just use them for 5-6 hours and throw them away.

It is definitely a big plus point that we just have to throw out the disposable pads after use and not have to deal with it again. This is the USB of disposable pads and definitely a major selling point for them.

It definitely costs less than reusable pads but in the long run, it eventually costs more as you won’t have to buy reusable pads again and again but you will have to buy more disposable pads.
