Holiday drives are underway to help Jacksonville-area needy

Various Northeast Florida businesses and organizations are hosting holiday toy, clothing and food drives for charity. Here is a roundup:

Hubbard House, a Jacksonville domestic violence shelter, is seeking gifts for resident survivors and their children. Drop off new, unwrapped toys or gifts for adult survivors at the Hubbard House Outreach Center and Thrift Store, 6629 Beach Blvd. Schedule drop-off appointments in advance by emailing Development@HubbardHouse.org.

Serving those who serve: Winn-Dixie delivers turkeys, holiday essentials to military families

• Jacksonville credit union 121 Financial is hosting a "Mega Holiday Toy and Clothing Drive" for Sulzbacher, which serves the homeless population. New toys, gifts, clothing and other needed items can be donated at any 121 Financial branch. For locations and suggested gifts, go to 121fcu.org.

• J.P. Hall Jr. Children's Charities is seeking donations of unwrapped new toys for its drive-thru Christmas party Saturday for Clay County children, newborns through age 14. Donations can be made at any Clay County fire station. The event will be 9 a.m. to noon at the Clay County Fairgrounds, 2497 Florida 16, Green Cove Springs. Also, volunteers are needed to help prepare the site at 9 a.m. Friday.

• Michael's Ohana, a Jacksonville resource network for people impacted by a disability, is collecting toys, clothing and other gifts for patients at Wolfson Children's Hospital.
